The American way, if you can afford hundreds$$ for a ticket what's $5 or $6 more for each fillup?...less than a beer at the stadium.

Gotta love Ashland Oil. And then they advertise on this site too. Guess they want to get you any way possible. Around the corner, and in your pocket...and on your way. The convience stores of Speedway....

On much smaller scale it happens here during college football season. Prices go up on Thursdays of home games and drop on Sunday evenings.

Doesn't seem to be a lack of excuses for gas prices going up. In Charlotte, NC price of regular is at $3.60 a gallon, however, we have one of the highest gas taxes in the nation.

Why not. The poor gas companies need to do everything possible to try and make a dollar. With their record profits year after year, I am sure they are close to filling bankruptcy. Yeah right. Way to take advantage of people traveling.

So many factors are purported to cause increased fuel prices. We can add the Super Bowl to the list.

Just sell T-shirts at the stations to make more money, leave the gas prices alone.

In our economy those who make more money are considered to be doing the right thing. In reality all the gas stations are doing is making money by raising prices when they can get away with it.
This is the economy we live in and many on gasbuddy continually defend it.

retailers are sticking it to the super bowl fans. I guess they figure if you are important or wealthy enough to get into the Super Bowl, you can pay 30 cents more per gallon!
